These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AICA website, mobile application, and related services (the “Service”). AICA is software that helps you with intercultural communication—situational context, phrasing options, and related guidance. It is not limited to literal word-for-word translation.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Output from AICA is informational and assistive. It is not legal, medical, psychological, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for how you communicate and for compliance with laws, workplace policies, and third-party terms (for example, messaging platforms).

The Service, including its software, branding, and content we provide, is owned by AICA and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business communication assistance in line with your plan.
You retain rights to text you submit. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party apps or sites. Your use of those is governed by their terms and policies; we are not responsible for them.
Pricing (including currency such as JPY where shown) is presented in the product. Paid plans, trials, and refunds will be described at purchase. The Free tier may be ad-supported as indicated in the app.
If we offer subscriptions, recurring charges and cancellation terms will be shown at checkout and in account settings where applicable.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR APPROPRIATE FOR EVERY SITUATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AICA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY CONTENT PRODUCED BY IT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) WHERE APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW SUCH A CAP, THE MINIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
You will defend and indemnify AICA and its affiliates against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service (where we will try to give reasonable notice when practicable).
We may modify these Terms or the Service. We will post updated Terms here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where AICA operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
